XL boy XS stage

Man of the year, of the day of the hour,
Revert to the boy when you lose all power,
Scenes seem scripted; new act, new page.
The boy wants to act big on a small stage.

Hope to flee the fool that follows you,
Hide from your shadow in shade,
Blame the blackened being beneath you,
Till dusk and its blinding cascade.

Stuttered lines a million times,
On this stage where the strings don't belong.
Classic choirs and things that inspire,
As the mouth doesn't move to the song,

Obligations hang from threads,
Severed ties or severed heads,
These strings they sew and seal the dead,
They wrap and warp the "guidelines".

Each chord that wraps will bind and blind,
Every layer will shield and save the soul.
Is darkness death? or the end of the show?
You're here because you lost control.

Beneath the Skin

Beneath my skin lies something else,
Twisted guts conflicted,
Ribboned knots around the neck of those who feel constricted.
Vengeance red amidst the shame,
Run their course and feed a flame.
Through veins more open than me,
Through parts more known than me,
Through people more sacred than me.

Beneath the skin creeps green with envy,
Flowers, weeds and flesh,
The amalgamation of the two is viewed as as something less.
Immolation of the chest,
These sprouts and cinders lay here; a mess.
Making scars more final than me,
Making lungs push harder than me,
Making peers more essential than me.

Beneath the skin runs water and metal,
Quench the steel to harden,
Use whats left to drown the stress and nourish this old garden.
Suffocation, grab the trees,
A nostalgic sense that you might freeze.
Missing scenes more tempered than me,
Missing futures much brighter than me,
Missing moments much bigger than me.

Beneath the skin becomes diluted,
A pallet as pale as ash,
I see black and white, i feel black and white,
But cannot live with either.
These scarlet streaks and baleful blues have all but washed away.

Not My Body

The hearts pushing, the brain reigns,
The chest prison, with ribs for the cage,
Waiting for the veins to be replaced with some chains,
This husk is a collective but its shrinking with age.

The eye sees, but these aren't mine,
The wounds heal, but it wasn't with time,
Find inside yourself a weapon, to kill the butterfly's
The valor you exhibit will demand a sacrifice.

Stomach burns, for the wrong fuel,
The mind knows better but the heart rules,
Your presence, just its essence haunts the molecules,
And in turn that very essence turned me to a ghoul.

Cocoon

Take care in where you lay,
The soul alone is not fit to stay,
Time for change, reset the stage,
Tether up your fears at bay.
Hope to flee the fool that follows you,
Hide from your shadow in shade,
Blame the blackened form beneath you,
Come dusk even darkness will fade.
The core brought bare inside this garment,
Inside this armor assumed none would harm it,
Suit up and hope that its the last,
Hoarding power but shed just as fast.
Each chord that wraps will bind and blind,
Each layer will shield and save the soul,
Darkness is death or slumber or safety,
You're here because you lost control.

Destined for Thirst

You don't skip stones to make a splash.
My ideas we're never to meant make waves,
Doomed and destined to drown.
In this ocean of life, this ocean holds life,
The water's what weighs me down.

Silence from under the sea,
The lake, the pool, these bodies are everywhere,
There's a deeper silence in me,
Cant help but resonate cant be my destiny.

If all this space is a thief,
Take something important from me,
Its one and the same my defense and my weakness,
This Armour of loathing, i kneel to no king.
A garment of blue, an extension of self,
A self amidst an ocean of everything else.

Red

Poems for people,
Feelings are flaunted,
The writer burns his words but does not feel daunted,
Pieces of past by which i'm still haunted,
Haunted until i saw red.

What it shoots from its quiver,
Would make a man shiver,
Left to crave or left for dead,
The arrow that pierced me was red.

Red hot the pyre of burning with desire,
A treasure trove, the definition of cove,
The veil had risen and covered me red.

A pipe dream by any means,
Just a name for crazy schemes,
The subject of the thoughts in your head,
And the brand that remained,
will stay when it's dead
The mark you left was red.

Lost rabbit's foot the game is over,
Rare to find an eight leafed clover,
Not something likely to get over,
The streak of luck was red.

Verses for the vexed,
An attempt at a hex,
A spell meant for love only ends in regret,
The meaning will bind you or leave you perplexed,
Paradoxical and smothered in red.

Cinderellapocalypse

You are no star but you could sparkle out of this cosmos,
The sun would turn green pushed from its centre,
Black holes spit at an even further than their horizons,
The creeping universal darkness slows to be quelled,
A paradox, you are the darkness which highlights,
Centrifugal in the spotlight; you are the spotlight,
Iridescent, you resonate the spectrum,
The passing dust can only watch the endless rebirth and ruin,
Jealous and yearning, a phase, a spec, a fleeting moment.
How could one comet affect the infinite?
